Welcome to Desert Aquatics

Desert Aquatics is a member of USA Swimming that provides a fantastic outlet for young swimmers to not only develop their technical swimming skills, but to also develop important life skills throughout their journey in and around the pool.

Founded in1989, led by Head Coach Steve Ortiz, the Desert Aquatics family consists of a variety of athletes ranging from novice competitors to nationally ranked swimmers.  Coach Steve has a vision to develop young swimmers into talented, well-rounded athletes by focusing on their technical skills during our comprehensive training secessions.

The team currently consists of two different training groups which are broken out by ability level.  Desert Aquatics focuses on quality coaching in order to provide each swimmer with the most appropriate and challenging workout while he or she is developing technical proficiency across the four competitive strokes.  Desert Aquatics does everything possible to deliver the best learning and training environment it can for its swimmers.
